Spiritual Logic is Hearing God’s Word
Spiritual logic is a seldom heard phrase. Logic can be shown to easily correlate to logos, which is the Greek word used in the New Testament to refer to Jesus as the Word – John 1:1 . Spiritual logic is, therefore, the manner by which human beings, including unbelievers, can come to realize that God is actually speaking to them.
The schematic is as follows:
If Jesus is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit is our teacher, then

Spiritual Logic - The Helper Comes
The Holy Spirit communicates to us that we may be taught.
If the Holy Spirit is God, and Jesus is God, then
The Holy Spirit teaches us the Word of God.
Jesus told us that he would send us a Helper that would guide us into all Truth ( John 16:7-16) . So, if this spiritual logic is true, how can it translate into human logic and make the fantastic inter-dimensional journey from things unseen to things seen? It is in this way that our Faith is confirmed. Truth is the substance that all men hope for, which is human logic. Truth is the evidence of the things we cannot see with human eyes or hear with human ears alone. Heb 11:1
Spiritual logic, or Faith, therefore, requires spiritual eyes and spiritual ears.
So, how are these spiritual eyes and ears acquired? The answer is, of course, once again, in the Bible, the Word of God given by the Holy Spirit unto humans, for humans – 2 Tim 3:16.
Consider the following scriptures: Joel 2:27-32, Rom 12:3, John 3:1-16, Mark 4:11-12, Eph 2:8, Rom 10:17
It follows then than we receive our spiritual eyes and ears through the gift of faith. Each man has a measure of faith given by the Holy Spirit, who is now poured out on all flesh. This opens us up to the kingdom of God , when we receive the Word of God unto our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But how is this spiritual logic practically applied?
If it cannot be communicated in human ways, how can it be realistically perceived?
Let’s take one example, guided by yet more scripture that is, indeed, very practical. By Moses, the first witness, we have Deut 19:15 . By Jesus, the second witness, we have Mat 18:16 . And by Paul the Apostle, the third witness, we have 2 Cor 13:1. Very simply, by taking an opportunity to hear from God in more than one way, each day can open a born again believer to the right now Word of God. This is an example of how a human being receives the conviction of the Holy Spirit. By being convicted of our own sin, we become opened to receive God’s grace by which we are saved through our faith. Our faith, then, is our evidence of the Truth. God’s Word, Jesus, is the Truth, which is manifested in the convicting and saving power of God’s Holy Spirit working His way beyond metaphysical barriers and into our practical lives. That is also why a daily devotional is such a practical tool in the life of many believers, which provides an excellent example of spiritual logic.
A devotional is spiritual logic in book form. Although it may be heard on the radio or taken from an audio tape. Perhaps, some prefer to get their daily dose from the tube, the internet, or a stand alone computer application. In any case, a devotional is a daily opportunity to hear just one witness from God. An excellent example is My Utmost for His Highest – by Oswald Chambers. But there are many resources available either online or in Christian bookstores. The cool thing, is that along with the first witness of the devotional, normally comes the second witness. True to spiritual logic, a scriptural reference is provided, which is often the basis for the devotional itself. The devotion is written in plain language, while the scriptural reference may be any number of translations.
That leaves the final witness in the trilogy of spiritual logic. Very simply, there is no such thing as a coincidence. Psalms 119:105 . During the course of any given day, given any prior exposure to two witnesses relevant to God’s Word, there will invariably come a third. Spiritual logic permits spiritual eyes and ears to recognize events as they spontaneously occur in reference to the devotional and scripture previously heard.
Unbelievers should practice spiritual logic for one month before claiming the there is no such thing as A Logical Christianity.
