A Logical Christianity

Welcome to A Logical Christianity – Why Christianity Makes Sense - Home Page

A Logical Christianity blog site is the sister site to the A Logical Christianity Portal site.  This blog offers the philosphical and theological content that explores the logical reasoning behind the claim that Christianity Makes Sense.  Please feel free to spend as much time as you like checking out the claims of A Logical Christianity.  You can learn more about the intent and philosophy that catalyzed the launch of this site on the About page.

A Logical Christianity wants your thoughts about Why Christianity Makes Sense …or not!

If you are so inclined, there are many ways that you, too, can contribute content to the site.  You can easily login (including register) in one of two ways.  Both ways are available on the left sidebar under the site search box.  Either use the convenient “facebook connect” button, or choose the usual WordPress login under the heading marked ‘Meta,’  If you are a believer and wish to be a contributing author, please use the second method to create an account.  Then, use the Contact page to send us a request to be considered as an author.  Authors have special priviledges.  Mainly, they are able to not only comment but have their own blog. While we purposely restrict authorship to believers, we welcome the contributions of Believers and Unbelievers in the hopes that by all means some might be saved.  Please feel free to use the friendly comment feature that will allow anyone to post a comment by using their favorite social network login, without having to actually register for a site account.

Logical Christianity - By All Means Save Some - 1 Cor 19-22

A Logical Christianity Might Save Some

Since the advent of Modernism, also called modernity or the Enlightenment, there has been a significant decline in the overall willingness of humanity to see Christianity as anything other than a myth, a fantasy, or a path for the deluded and unintelligent.  Today, the remnant of the Enlightenment is still present despite the denial of those who embrace the Postmodernist points of view.

“Indeed, I think  that getting people to believe that we live in a post-modern culture is one of the craftiest deceptions that Satan has yet devised. “Modernism is pass,” he tells us. “You needn’t worry about it any longer.  So forget about it!  It’s dead and buried.”  Meanwhile, modernism, pretending to be dead, comes around again in the fancy new dress of postmodernism, masquerading as a new challenger.  “Your old arguments and apologetics are no longer effective against this new arrival,” we’re told.  “Lay them aside; they’re of no use.  Just share your narrative!”

A Logical Christianity Makes Sense

Borrowing from the logical structure of today’s apologetics, we have a greater insight into the theological connotations inherent in science and philosopy. The new evidence that the cosmological and physcal sciences bring to the table is more exciting than ever in support of a logical christianity.  And the spiritual principles of faith, reciprocity and agreement find a remarkable and practical method of exercising the truthfulness of not only a physical logic, but a spiritual logic, as well.  This is an old issue, but God is now moving in new ways in drawing people to Him.

While there are no doubt many arguments still present, such as: The Problem of Evil, The Attributes of God, Scriptural Interpretation, The Process of Evolution, Judgmentalsim, The Human Compulsion and Common Sense, there are still opportunites for humans to find more in common than that which is distinctive and separates us in life.  We simply need to focus more on similarites than differences.  Whether we all disappear in the blink of an eye, or evolve over the course of millions of millenia, we are in this experience of life together.  Whether we find a heavenly home, or a new universe, solar system or galaxy to live on, or perish in an entropic nothingness, (or a combination of all) we’ll do it as a species of humans.

Yet given all the available evidence, that is why we believe that Christianity makes sense.  And a case should and will continue to be made that there is such a thing as A Logical Christianity.

Christianity is logical, but it cannot be explained completely using logic.  There is the unknown in Christianity that we will never understand.  Like how can God be One God yet three persons?  It’s hard to wrap a logical mind around this one.  But I understand what you are doing on this site and it is greatly needed.  I’m not a very good apologist, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try to become a better one!  I’ve enjoyed checking out your blog!  Hopefully I can re-visit soon.

Great site! I am an avid studier of apologetics and am always looking to equip myself better to give a reason for the hope that is within my heart.  I look forward to exploring your site more.  As someone who’s come out of the Charismatic movement which was all about feelings and abandoning logic I am particularly interested in learning as much as I can about theology and apologetics now.

Come back anytime, David. Glad to have you!
